Description
This 3BR 2BA [sleeps 6+] home has everything you will need for your "vacation home away from home". The master bedroom has a king bed and 27" TV the other 2 bedrooms are queen size and an extra full size futon for kids. Relax on the deck overlooking the waterwheel and creek, with small water falls down below the house. Enjoy a covered deck with a fireplace, stainless steel propane grill, electronic darts, swing, hammock, and listening to the water crashing down below. Treat yourself to a cozy large kitchen with a beautiful bar and dining area. Our home is secluded and private and caters to grilling out and cooking in our family kitchen. Restuarants and shopping are a 45-50 min drive to the surrounding towns of Blowing Rock, Lenoir and Morganton. The living room has a rock fireplace/woodstove with a 27" TV, DirectTV Sat,DVD,CD stereo sound. The Lodge has 1 1/2 acre pasture with horseshoes, bonfire pit, hitching posts, creek, frog pond, picnic table, and a four horse barn with hay racks, feed bins for your pleasure and convienence. Four Horse Barn with saw dust floors, bring water buckets, feed buckets and hay racks installed permanently.

Wild and Scenic Wilson Creek Gorge
Public parking and access to the Wild and Scenic Wilson Creek Gorge runs all along the Brown Mountain Beach road is only 1/2 mile from the Brown Mountain Lodge. Fishing, Tubing, Sunbathing, Kayaking, Swimming, Photography....get relaxed and just take a refreshing dip

The Beach in the Mountains!
A great swimming hole and sandy beach is just up the road past Betseys country store. Parking area on the left side of road past Mortimer campground entrance. 2 min drive from the house.
Thorpes Creek Waterfall
This beautiful water fall is only a 10 minute hike. Drive down to the Mortimer campground (couple minute drive down the road) and park at the end of the campground road, parking available and you'll see the trail head there.
